So while most people are making new years resolutions, I’m making a commitment to be a better mom.
I commit to be the type of mom who prays more for and with her kids, spends more time with them, gives grace when they make mistakes, and just relax a little when all I want is peace and quiet.
I have been easily angered by some of the things my kids do, like fussing about why their sibling is looking at them and constantly asking for things they don’t need and not appreciative of what they have been blessed with. They’re kids and I’m the mom!
I also commit to discipline appropriately, equally, and consistently. I will not spare the rod and spoil them. I must help them mature. They will take on more responsibility in the way of chores. I cannot continue to do it all for them, otherwise I hinder their personal growth.
I do realize I’m still not perfect and never will be, but I’m always determined to be better and continually improve. So in 2016 its time to not only show the love, but to share the love!
It’s a new year and a new season for Unperfecting Motherhood.
